Client Eligibility for our Transportation Service

Far Northwest Caregivers is a charity. All of our transportation is provided generously by volunteers, using their own cars and donating their time and
gasoline. Our volunteers are precious to us and their time is limited, therefore we have set guidelines for our free transportation services:

Transportation services are limited to seniors who:

1) are unable to provide their own transportation or secure assistance through someone they know or through public or paid transportation.

2) are aged 60 and over.

3) live within our geographic boundaries (see the service area map)

4) are ambulatory

Seniors requesting transportation MUST register with our organization before they are able to receive rides.

Medical appointment ride requests always take precedence over all other requests.

We are unable to provide rides for residents of assisted care or other pay-for-care facilities where transportation is included as a service.

We may not be able to serve clients with special needs who may need more professional care.
